First two soils samples arrived June 28th, within the context of project WP4: Characterization of existing raw materials and CEBs. WP4 includes experimental work for the characterization of the raw materials (i.e. soils) used by Gigantas Antaios Touvlopiio (Task 4.1) and of the CEBs currently produced. The aims will be (i) to evaluate the suitability of the soils in terms of granularity, plasticity characteristics and mineralogical composition and (ii) to determine which properties of the currently produced CEBs need to be improved in order to achieve a high quality end product.
